| Your body needs a Futon!
The greatest benefit of the Futon is that it gives you a natural orthopedic support from head to toe, allowing your body to sink into the soft cotton filling, while still providing support to all parts of your skeletal system. The Futon is also a flat surface to sleep on - no more sagging or rolling to the middle. Ultimately, a relaxed and comfortable sleep. Quality sleep is necessary for your body to re-energize during the night.

The best Futon for the job
Shop for the best quality, rather than the lowest price. The good quality, modern Futon is not like the Futons of 25 years ago! Today they are made using only premium new cotton and the latest processing techniques. The cotton is encased in a calico envelope and is pinned in place by up to 20 tufts of yarn to prevent excessive movement of the layers inside.
You can always find bedding at bargain prices, but it's not if you waste your money!

But which Futon?
There are a variety of choices to be made when purchasing a Futon. Firstly, size?
This is dependent upon your own size. The body requires freedom of movement during sleep, and to help you relax while getting to sleep. Futons are available in standard (Single, King single, Double, Queen & King sizes) or custom sizes to cater for your individual needs. Thickness required will depend on whether the Futon will be used as a permanent bed or as a temporary bed e.g. for guests, sleep-overs, camping etc. Generally however, I would recommend a 6" or 7" Futon for most people. Cotton Futons are available from 3" to 6". Foam core Futons (from 4" to 8") offer a different degree of support and level of comfort, than a Futon filled with cotton only. A notably soft and comfortable option! Good for the body and the soul!

Ultimately the choice is up to you, as you spend about 60hrs per week in bed. You should try a Futon not just by sitting on the edge, but by lying down and getting comfortable. Try all your sleeping positions, back, sides and front to determine what level of support is best for you. If buying for two, take your partner along as well.
We will help you decide on the best possible choice for your situation.
